Jungheinrich AG announces changes in the Board of Management.

  • Dr Klaus-Dieter Rosenbach will leave the company at the end of March 2020
  • Consolidation of the Board of Management from five to four divisions

Jungheinrich AG announces changes in the Board of Management: Dr Klaus-Dieter Rosenbach, Member of the Board of Management for Logistics Systems, will leave the company prematurely at his own request. Because his private life planning changed for health-related reasons, Dr Rosenbach asked the Supervisory Board to prematurely release him from his contract with effect from 31 March 2020. His contract otherwise would have expired at the end of 2021.

Dr Rosenbach joined Jungheinrich AG in 1991 after obtaining his doctorate in mechanical engineering at the University of Hannover. After numerous senior positions in development and production, he took over the management of the Jungheinrich production plants in Norderstedt and Lüneburg in 2001. In 2008, he was appointed to the Board of Management for Engineering at Jungheinrich AG. The 61-year-old with a degree in mechanical engineering has been responsible for Logistics Systems since 2015.

Hans-Georg Frey, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, says, »Over three decades, Dr Klaus-Dieter Rosenbach has greatly contributed to the successful development of Jungheinrich, and I have always considered him a loyal and reliable companion. His departure is a big loss for us all, both in personal and professional terms. We respect yet deeply regret his decision. On behalf of the Supervisory Board, both shareholder families Lange and Wolf, and the Board of Management, we would like to express our utmost gratitude and respect for his extraordinary work. We wish him the best for his time after leaving Jungheinrich.«

Dr Lars Brzoska, Chairman of the Board of Management, adds, »I had the pleasure of working in close and successful cooperation with Dr Klaus-Dieter Rosenbach on the Board of Management for almost six years. Throughout these years, I have greatly valued his extraordinary commitment to Jungheinrich and his high technical expertise. All of us at the company regret his departure.«

The Supervisory Board and the Board of Management have decided to downsize the Board of Management after the departure of Dr Rosenbach and reduce it from five to four divisions, effective from April 2020. Ms Sabine Neuß will take over responsibility for the Engineering division from the Chairman of the Board of Management Dr Lars Brzoska as of 1 January 2020.
