Extended traceability features for REWE

KNAPP develops extended traceability features for KiSoft WMS in response to Italy's stricter legal requirements for cool storage warehouses

REWE and KNAPP look back on long years of a successful logistics partnership. KiSoft WMS, KNAPP's warehouse management system, controls more than 20 REWE locations within Europe. Due to the current legal requirements, extended traceability features were activated in six existing cool storage warehouses throughout Italy, which shelve fruit and vegetables as well as fish.

Country of origin, type of production, gauge or fishing method etc. - in the future various additional key indices are registered directly at goods-in for lot-managed products. For continued efficient registration of data at goods-in, KiSoft WMS provides default values or entry options. These values can be overwritten manually as necessary.
