With an innovative functional principle, compact system concept and ergonomic design the high performance order picking station RapidPick Premier provides maximum performance.
With "Rapid Pick" Dematic presents a new, fully automated 1:1 high performance order picking station, which leads the small parts order picking according to the goods-to-person principle into a new dimension with regards to capacity and ergonomics. A revolutionary feed system, fully automated tote handling, ergonomic optimal positioning of the pick totes, as well as conversational work instructions via display and light support, enable maximum order picking capacity of more than 1,000 order lines per hour.
With such capacity the integrated order picking station is designed for fully automated picking concepts in combination with high performance systems such as the Dematic Multishuttle. Thus, the world first Rapid Pick forms another innovative component in the Dematic solution concepts for economic overall solutions in split case picking.
The station in modern cockpit design has a fully automated supply and discharge of the pick and put totes. Empty put totes and totes with commissioning goods are automatically supplied to the work station. A specially designed lifting device lifts each container and places it in ergonomically optimal height on the picking station. There the totes are via conveyor tilted to ease access.
The picking station is provided with a generous display monitor. Led by the display specification for picking as well as an integrated display of a pick-by-light bar in front of the put container accurate order picking is carried out. At completion of the order picking the pick totes are after confirmation of the picking specifications automatically discharged from the pick station. Parallel to the order picking process by the order picker the lift automatically lowers to pick up a new pick tote. This is presented to the order picker at the now vacated pick location to complete the order picking. Completed put-totes are after confirmation of the order picking process automatically discharged via a conveyor. It leads the container to further processing stations or to temporary buffering. Due to this system concept and the automated in- and output the operators can concentrate totally on the order picking task. With less than a one second tote exchange time, the operator does not have to wait for a new SKU. The ergonomic concept of Rapid Pick enables the physical comfort of the operator. An adjustable height platform is raised or lowered for the operator to allow a comfortable and effective working position.
Furthermore, the order picking station is flexible in its design and can be expanded to order picking for up to six put-totes. Result: Continuously high flow rate, efficient order completion and further improved economy.
