A new TGW mini-load warehouse for Zitec

Modern trade, technology and service company ZITEC entrusts TGW with the installation of an automated mini-load warehouse

ZITEC, headquartered in Plattling, Bavaria, is a modern trade, technology and service company offering a high-quality retail range in the areas of bearing, drive and fluid technology as well as technical machine elements for maintenance and engineering. As a modern, integrated supplier, the logistics requirements regarding storage, order throughput times and picking rates have increased significantly.

Therefore, ZITEC placed an order with TGW to implement an automated mini-load storage system. TGW has already been cooperating intensely with ZITEC and designed the solution via a planning order. The IT system will be implemented as blackbox solution including TGW CI_LOG material flow controls and warehouse management system with a blackbox interface to SAP R/3 WM. Furthermore, TGW will implement a system including eight Mustang Evolution cranes with Combi Telescope as well as extensive tote and carton conveyor equipment for picking, packing and consolidation installed on two levels. Exclusively TGW Commander will be used as controls system.
