E+P welcomes Russian professionals: 2nd International Conference »InnoSklad: made in Germany«

03.06.2014

Logistics and culture: Between May 19th and 23rd, 22 logistics professionals, IT managers, supply chain experts and CEOs came to E+P in Boppard-Buchholz to be informed about the current developments in the German logistics industry. Therefore, E+P organized an exclusive program in cooperation with the Russian Mizunov Media Group (MMG). Both practical logistics know-how and cultural aspects were in the focus.

The E+P warehouse experts welcomed their Russian guests in the Boppard-Buchholz headquarters. The agenda in the Institute for Applied Warehouse Logistics included an introduction of the company, presentations and live demonstrations of supply chain processes. During an on-site visit to the neighboring logistics center of Ehrhardt + BOMAG Logistics (EBL) with its 5,500 square meters, the participants had the opportunity to see the warehouse management system LFS and the latest technologies like Pick-to-Light, Pick-by-Voice and an automated warehouse with a micro shuttle system in live operation. The logistic requirements and solutions for efficient spare parts management were the key aspects. After an informal get-together in the evening, the next day was reserved for two reference visits. At the logistics service providers Top Logistik and Simon Hegele, the participants were able to gain an impression of automatic processes in combination with manual or automatic storage systems for the whole logistics chain.

»With the 2nd International Conference, we wanted to promote the dialog with the Russian logistics market and inform about the innovation skills of the German logistics industry«, says Marco Ehrhardt, managing partner of E+P. »I am sure that we were able to give the companies an insight into the future of intralogistics by presenting state-of-the-art warehouse technology for complex processes.«
