Ehrhardt + Partner Group (EPG) and NBK sign declaration of intent: 500 million US dollars for mega logistics park

The Ehrhardt + Partner Group (EPG) and Nasser Bin Khaled International, a subsidiary of Nasser Bin Khaled and Sons, have signed a declaration of intent at the German-Qatari Investment Conference in Berlin for the construction and operation of a joint state-of-the-art, fully automated mega logistics park in Qatar. The objective is to meet the strongly increasing requirements for logistics in the region.

The total investment volume for the construction of the worldwide unique logistics center is 500 million US dollars.

A mega logistics park is planned near the capital city of Doha to meet the requirements for the continuously growing logistics demand in Qatar. The declaration of intent for the investment of 500 million US dollars for implementing the mega logistics part was signed by H.E. Sheikh Nawaf Nasser Bin Khaled Al-Thani, Chairman of the NBK Group, and Marco Ehrhardt, Managing Partner of the E+P Group, in the presence of the Ambassador of Qatar to Germany, Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, the Qatari Minister for Municipal Administration and the Environment, H.E. Mohammed bin Abdullah al-Rumaihi, as well as the Chairman of the Qatari Businessmen Association, H.E. Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim al-Thani, at the »9th German-Qatari Investment Conference« at the Maritim Hotel in Berlin. »The cooperation with the EPG allows us to bring the latest technology in digital and intelligent logistics to Qatar while transforming the region into a worldwide leading logistics location,« declared H.E. Sheikh Nawaf Bin Nassar Al-Thani in Berlin. The EPG is Europe's market leader for intelligent logistics and digitized warehouse management, looking after renowned customers such as DHL, Fiege, Hellmann, Rossmann, Volkswagen, Pilatus, BOMAG and many others. »For over ten years, we have been present in the Middle East with our own Logistics Solutions Center (LSC) and project teams in Dubai and have already invested in numerous large logistics projects in the region,« emphasizes Marco Ehrhardt. »We are looking forward to working with NBK and to jointly planning and implementing one of the world's largest logistics parks.«
