Flexibility for special handling and value added services with KiSoft WMS by KNAPP

Extended residual term for individual customers through dynamic picking
Many KNAPP customers have a demand for extended residual term for their individual customers with long delivery periods. This demand clashes with a FIFO strategy within the warehouse. In order to still realize FIFO in a large portion of the warehouse and thus profit from optimized systems such as SDA and flow racks, this process can be covered easily through special handling in the software. KiSoft WMS detects the specific requirements and ensures that suited goods are supplied dynamically for processing these few special items. This dynamic allocation of the goods respectively picking directly from overstock can used as well if specific lot or serial numbers are demanded by a customer. In this way you will benefit from higher productivity with the standard processes and are able to meet the special demands of individual customers in an optimized and system-guided process.
Price marking, relabelling and other value added services
Prices already marked by the supplier are registered at goods-in, traced throughout all warehouse processes similar to lot managed products, and automatically taken over in the delivery for the customer without any further handling necessary by the staff. If there are changes in pricing, the system makes it possible to flexibly relabel the goods. This is performed either individually in the course of the picking process by diversion to the check station or is triggered in advance and, at the storage location, carried out for all goods in one single step.
The same process is also used if certain target countries or target customers require special packaging, marking, package inserts or any other special labelling. In this case, the system can automatically ensure that sufficient stock with these properties is always available. If the stock level falls below a certain threshold, new stock is transported to a relabelling location, where changes are carried out, and then returned to storage as modified products. The threshold can be set individually for each product and therefore allows the relabeling latest possible – a requirement to handle consignment stock or customs clearance with that process as well.
Transparency for your customers
Provide your customers the transparency they are used to and they expect in the digital age. The WEB portal of KiSoft WMS allows your customers to query the current status and progress of their own orders at any time. Thereby they are informed in advance about delays or quantitative deviations. The portal allows also the registration of returns directly by the customer, time consuming and incorrect transmission by telephone or fax is no longer necessary.
