LIS announces Redprairie merger at retail furniture executive forum in Miami

The Retail Furniture Executive Forum, hosted by El Dorado Furniture and sponsored by RedPrairie, launched the future of LIS, a well-known supplier of warehouse management systems (WMS) to the furniture industry, as a part of RedPrairie, the world’s second largest supply chain solution provider

Charlotte, NC The merger with RedPrairie positions LIS as an industry leader with an expanded product base and increased development resources.

The invitation only event, hosted by El Dorado Furniture and sponsored by RedPrairie, connected current and prospective users of Dispatcher-WMS, RedPrairies WMS geared specifically for the furniture industry. Pedro Capo, COO of El Dorado Furniture, and Jesus Capo, CIO of El Dorado Furniture opened the seminar by detailing operations within El Dorados 400,000 square foot same day/next day distribution center. Topics included the business issues that pushed the decision to select a best-of-breed WMS and why El Dorado chose to partner with RedPrairie. The seminar concluded with a warehousing best practices speech from keynote speaker Bill Lindler, President of USSI.
