CIM present their new product structure at LogiMAT 2013

07.03.2013

CIM GmbH, leading supplier of Warehouse Management software from Fürstenfeldbruck near Munich, presented the new structure of their WMS solution PROLAG®World at this year’s LogiMAT, as well as a brand new Web configurator.

With an increase in visitors of 1.5% and almost 10% more exhibitors, LogiMAT 2013 in Stuttgart greatly surpassed its previous year’s figures. The amount of interest in the CIM stand also saw a considerable increase in comparison to last year with around 15% more visitors, according to a spokesperson for the company.

CIM’s focus this year was on the desire of IT professionals for a software solution which is standardised yet customisable. With a new exhibition booth, the spotlight was very much on the new product pallet, which comprises product, industry, service and comfort packages.

The PROLAG®World product packages are tailored the requirements of the trade and retail, production, 3PL and hospital sectors. Additional industry packages are equipped to meet the intralogistics challenges of numerous other industries such as automotive, food and the pharmaceutical and chemical sectors. The service and comfort packages bring a better performance in the warehouse as well as a flexible hardware connection. Featuring modules such as the forklift routing system, pick-by-voice, interface connection or automated warehouse interface, these packages greatly enhance the performance of intralogistics processes and systems.

“The flexibility and customisability of our new product structure is apparent in our new configurator, which enables users to assemble their own customised packages – in other words, their perfect WMS is only a click away”, said Fritz Mayr, managing director of CIM GmbH. “A lot of the visitors to our stand combined their product package with one of our sector-specific add-ons. They were grateful for the simple representation this provided, enabling them to filter out exactly what they needed from an otherwise highly complex Warehouse Management System,” he continued.

From the middle of March onwards, anyone who is interested will be able to access the Web configurator in the internet to create their own personalised version of the standard PROLAG®World Warehouse Management System.

Intralogistics in the Health Care Sector

On Wednesday, February 20th, logistics consultant Matthias Schüll demonstrated to professionals from the industry how the Warehouse Management System can be used to model and optimise processes in the healthcare sector. PROLAG®World Health Care maps hospital processes and provides functionality covering all aspects of expiry date management. It can also be used for the administration of recipes, prescriptions, medication and temperatures.
