AtlasWMS Global in Voß’s New European Warehouses

Epilog’s AtlasWMS system module for the single-point management of multiple warehouses in various locations, AtlasWMS Global, has been successfully implemented in some new warehouses around Europe.

Following the recent implementation in two units of our long-standing German client Voß, one of the largest steel and aluminium suppliers globally, it is now the turn of their units in Austria, France and the United Kingdom.

Ever since its establishment in 1979, Voß Edelstahlhandel has been a leading European steel supplier, and since 2007 also a leading aluminium supplier. Through six European units, they export to as many as 15 countries around the world. Having enjoyed excellent cooperation with this company for six years, we began talks on the AtlasWMS Global implementation last year, following the successful installation of a new high-rack cassette automated warehouse.

The system was first installed at the Hamburg company headquarters, followed by the Stuttgart unit, and installation is currently underway in Essen, which will soon be followed by installations in Vienna (Austria), Lyon (France), Nantes (France), and Birmingham (UK). Our client has decided to speed up the implementation because they were extremely satisfied with the operation of the new system and the reliability of Epilog’s support services. “We would like to commend you indeed, as both your work on site and your support over the phone are really exceptional. The issues at hand are quickly resolved and questions are answered swiftly,” is how Markus Fischer of Voß begins a recent email message to Epilog.

With a single centralised database, Global enables simultaneous management of several warehouses, thus enabling the best possible use of diverse economic synergy effects.
