»warehouse logistics« extends its range of services

04.12.2020

The »Team warehouse logistics« announces the extension of the benchmarking and know-how portal for »Warehouse Management Systems« to a holistic platform for logistics IT systems. This step provides for an even stronger anchoring of the platform in the logistics industry and sustainably strengthens the networking between logistics IT providers and users on the market.

After the positive response over the last 20 years, the »Team warehouse logistics« is expanding the existing WMS platform and, together with its participants, is taking another step towards the future of logistics. With the further development of the platform, both the users and the providers will receive additional benefits and new services - a win-win situation for both sides! In the future, the expanded online portal will offer participating providers the opportunity to present the entire product portfolio of their available IT systems and modules on the subject of logistics in a market-oriented manner and to draw the attention of potential customers to their product range of logistics software solutions. In addition to »Warehouse Management Systems« (WMS), it will also be possible from now on to list »Transport Management Systems« (TMS), »ForkliftGuidanceSystems« (FGS), »Pick-by-Solutions«, »Business Intelligence Systems« (BI) as well as »Resource Planning Systems« (RPS) and have them validated by the provider-independent Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML.

The new and diverse product portfolio on the platform will enable users to obtain a holistic solution for their warehouse processes. The new conception of the »WMS Online Selection« as a holistic »Logistics IT Online Selection« makes it easier for the user to find a suitable system constellation to support his individual logistics requirements in the warehouse and transport sector. For this purpose, the user does not require any well-founded knowledge of the individual functionalities and the area of application of the individual systems in advance. The process requirements and stored functional data, which are systematically queried in the online selection, guide the user intuitively through the selection process and support him in finding the right solution. Depending on the user's individual requirements, this solution can also consist of a constellation of different systems and modules.
