Aldata Teams with IBM to Better Serve Its Global Retail Customers

Aldata Solution today announced that its Aldata G.O.L.D. retail suite is now fully operational on IBM Websphere integration and application infrastructure software. Aldata G.O.L.D. also conforms to the technical requirements of the IBM SOA environment and is now listed in the IBM SOA Business Catalog.

With more than 150 joint customers worldwide—including Price Chopper, Smart & Final, Elephant Pharm, United Supermarkets and Nash Finch in the United States—IBM and Aldata have a long and successful relationship serving the retail sector. They now embrace a more formal relationship for technology, hardware, services and training cooperation to better service their current and future joint customers.

“Aldata’s investment in IBM Websphere and SOA provides our joint customers with industry leading middleware that fully supports Aldata G.O.L.D.’s integrated retail application backbone,” said Allan Davies, CMO, Aldata. “This makes it easier for new customers to integrate G.O.L.D. with administrative applications such as finance and HR, and existing customers to adapt or change that integration as their business changes.”

Aldata supplies the world’s leading retailers and wholesalers with the systems that manage the core of their business, enabling visibility and optimization of their entire supply chain from supplier to customer. Aldata G.O.L.D. provides a unified retail architecture with multiple modules that can be implemented rapidly in incremental stages in order to address a company’s greatest business constraints. Modules include: master data management, forecasting and replenishment, logistics and distribution, store and merchandising, supplier and order management, plus loyalty and marketing systems.
