Aldata’s Retail Suite to Integrate Merchandising, Warehouse Management, Replenishment and Forecasting
Aldata Solution, today announced that Netto Marken-Discount has signed an enterprise agreement for the complete Aldata G.O.L.D. Retail Suite. A division of Edeka Group, one of the world’s largest retail companies, Netto Marken-Discount operates more than 3,800 convenience grocery stores and employs 50,000 people across Germany.
Netto has previously deployed several G.O.L.D. Retail Suite modules across its business. Following the enterprise agreement the retailer has extended the use of G.O.L.D. to the distribution centers of the Plus grocery chain, which it recently acquired. As a result, Netto will use Aldata G.O.L.D. in its head office and across all its warehouses to manage integrated merchandising, warehouse management, replenishment and forecasting optimization.
Netto decided to commit 100 percent to Aldata based on the company’s detailed knowledge of the grocery business, use of best practices and ability to deliver a holistic supply chain solution. The benefits to its business will be demonstrated in cost savings and more efficient control over its processes.
“Using Aldata’s Retail Suite for integrated merchandising and replenishment optimization, Netto will be able to capitalize on the increased visibility across the entire supply chain,” said Allan Davies, chief marketing officer, Aldata. “As a result, Netto can build upon that visibility to improve inventory management and better understand its customers' buying habits."
