Software company couples large-scale functionality with ease of use for Convenience Retail customers

RedPrairie Corporation, a productivity solutions provider, announced today that it is continuing an initiative with long-time partner Retail Data Systems Inc. (RDS) to bring its larger-scale software functionality to smaller Convenience Retail operators. The two companies are aiming to couple the same features in many of RedPrairie’s solutions – including Site Operations, its handheld and mobile systems, and Workforce Management – with the ease-of-use necessary for organizations with a smaller order volume.

“We consider RedPrairie and RDS a great match for this kind of initiative,” says Mike Bockman, RDS General Manager of Convenience Store Division. “Our organization has over a 50-year history of helping smaller convenience, retail, grocery and restaurant businesses implement systems like RedPrairie’s in their stores. We consider their company an authority in automating many of the processes these customers enact every day.”

Among those smaller operators already using RedPrairie’s solutions is One Stop, a single-site convenience store in Dewitt, Ark. The business expects RedPrairie’s solutions to help it achieve greater efficiency throughout the whole of its operations.

“With RDS as a partner, we hope to bring the same benefits we provide our multi-site Convenience Retail customers to those operating on a smaller scale,” says RedPrairie Retail Sales Leader, J Rollins. “RedPrairie upholds a tradition of helping companies be more productive – no matter the size of the organization.”

Those interested in the initiative can visit RedPrairie at the NACStech conference, booth #721, May 5-7, 2010 in New Orleans, La.
