PSI Receives Order from OAO Gazprom for the Gas Transportation Business

PSI has been awarded by the Gazprom subsidiary OJSC “Gazavtomatika“ OJSC “Gazprom“ a contract to deliver the software for the control system of the Baidaratskaya compressor station.

This strategically important order represents the kick-off for other planned control systems for the Gazprom Bovanenko-Uchta gas pipeline and the northern European gas transport trunk line (Nord Stream onshore).

With the use of PSIcontrol V7, Gazprom intends to develop highly efficient, hierarchically structured control systems for the control of gas transportation in strategically important gas transportation pipelines. Concrete work is being performed in particular for the gas transportation pipeline Bovanenko–Uchta–Torshok and the northern European gas transport line (Nord Stream onshore). PSIcontrol V7 is planned for both the realisation of cross-pipeline dispatching centers as well as for the local control system levels below them. The Baidaratskaya compressor station is part of the Bovanenko line.

Gazavtomatika is the general contractor and responsible system integrator for the realisation of the projects based on the PSI software. Beyond that, PSI is also supporting Gazavtomatika conceptually in the development of the system solutions and is assuming the training of the Gazavtomatika engineers for the product-specific know-how of the PSI software employed. The PSI gas and oil business has a long history of cooperation with Gazavtomatika, for which a partnership agreement was concluded in 2009.
