Dematic liberates the Multishuttle from the Tray

Economy, flexibility and safe control systems: Dematic introduces the "Dematic Multishuttle Flex". A completely innovative load carrying device enables the processing of cartons and small parts of different sizes in a plant without trays.

Dematic presents with the "Multishuttle Flex" a revolutionary approach for higher economy and flexibility in the warehouse, which enables the storage of containers and cartons of diverse sizes without the use of additional trays. Containers and cartons with measurements between 200 x 200 mm and 875 x 650 mm, weighing up to 31.5 kg can be stored. This increases the range of the relevant spectrum against conventional systems by nearly 50 percent. Dispensation of trays and containers, as well as the system concept reduce the total system costs and space requirement in the plant. And: By handling diverse goods in a plant without additional repacking onto trays the Dematic Multishuttle Flex reduces the throughput time of order processing by 20 to 25 percent against conventional miniload technology. Result: Higher performance by reduced plant size. Thus, the Multishuttle Flex is a high performance, compact warehouse system for mixed packaging units of diverse sizes.

The Multishuttle Flex is designed for multi-deep storage and offers due to the innovative, flexible load carrying device an extremely high storage density. Because the new load carrying device can store units of diverse sizes as single-, double- or triple-bay storage. Sensory and hardware components are designed for stored goods of variable sizes and volume. The proven Dematic-Telescope solution with additional conveyor ensures access and safety of the goods in transit and during delivery. Through automatic, sensor-guided contraction the goods in transit are grabbed and placed on the shuttle. After delivery to the storage rack a relaxation takes place. The diverse flexibility with regards to size, composition and weight of the stored goods, as well as the multi-deep storage clearly increase the turnover.

With the diverse innovations of the Flex variant the Dematic Multishuttle is the ideal system, also for operators with a broad spectrum of diverse goods in transit - as in the service industry and industrial manufacturing.
