SAP Moves Into the Future at CeBIT 2012

Attendees To Experience SAP HANA™ Platform and Other Innovative Solutions Firsthand as SAP Commemorates 40th Anniversary

SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) today announced plans to showcase innovations in applications, analytics, mobile, cloud and database and technology at CeBIT 2012, to be held March 6-10 in Hanover, Germany. Together with customers and partners, SAP will present new developments in these categories on location in Hall 4. Additionally, in Hall 5, SAP will showcase its solution portfolio for small and midsize enterprises (SMEs), joined by about 25 partners that will provide information on their latest developments for SMEs. SAP will also host an opening press conference on March 6, to take place at the main booth in Hall 4.
SAP will also unveil at CeBIT a new show concept: a unique and inviting experience that communicates the relevance of SAP software not only to customers but to the general public as well. In celebration of its 40th anniversary, the company will demonstrate that SAP® software not only helps companies to run better, but also pervades many aspects of everyday life.
Hall 4: Experience SAP Over 38,000 Square Feet
This year, the main SAP booth in Hall 4 will have a public area for consumers and a business area for business representatives. Over 38,000 square feet, business users and consumers will be able to experience SAP in a completely new way.
In "Experience Rooms" accessible to the general public, companies including Lego, bicycle manufacturer PG, Samsung and the Audi Sailing Team Germany invite visitors to enter their world and show the relevance of SAP software for every visitor. In the room dedicated to the SAP HANA™ platform, visitors will be able to for the first time view demos of the latest products and solutions based the platform. In this context, the "SAP HANA Kinect showcase" will demonstrate how easy it is to use the platform, and how SAP is working to fundamentally redesign the processing and management of huge amounts of complex data.
In advance of the show, SAP has launched a CeBIT-specific Facebook page, where followers have already had the opportunity to enter to win a handmade bicycle from the company PG worth EUR 7,000 and are invited to participate in a competition to win a sailing trip with the Audi Sailing Team Germany during the Kieler Woche. In the business area, company representatives, IT decision-makers, CIOs, entrepreneurs and partners or influencers from companies and organizations of all sizes can meet with experts - either from SAP or one of the participating large enterprise partners. Solutions for the market categories applications, analytics, mobile, cloud, and database and technology are the central themes this year. In addition, the show program will change daily, with different theme days of interesting presentations and exclusive workshops for diverse industries and lines of business offering interested visitors current information as well as the opportunity to network.
To highlight the importance of public administration and its specific IT demands, the SAP® for Public Sector solution portfolio will be displayed at the main booth. These SAP solutions focus on pressing issues such as demography-oriented personnel management, sustainable budget and finance management, administrative control and e-government. Additional topics include SAP technology and solutions for secure administration processes, as well as core processes for social insurance and security agencies. The SAP research and development department will also be represented in Hall 4, offering visitors a look into the future of IT and showcasing current research projects.
SAP Solutions for SMEs in Hall 5
As in years past, SAP will dedicate a booth exclusively to solutions for SMEs. In Hall 5, booth A18, SAP will showcase innovative and custom-made solutions, mobile apps, add-ons, and additional software and solutions for the trade, service and manufacturing sectors. SAP experts, together with representatives from approximately 25 partners, will be available to present the entire SAP solution portfolio for SMEs and discuss individual questions with visitors.
