Team warehouse logistics invites participants of the WMS Database to the Fraunhofer IML in Dortmund

Participant Meeting on 30 Ocktober 2014

»Go networked into the future with warehouse logistics« is the slogan of this year’s participant meeting of the world’s largest database for warehouse management systems (WMS) on warehouse-logistics.com, which takes place on 30 October in Dortmund. Fourteen years after it was founded, the online platform is still being expanded and developed: by making greater use of WMS reference projects, the community has expanded to include even more IT vendors. Team warehouse logistics is going networked into the future.

In view of the positive feedback that was received about the World Café from previous meetings, participants will once again be given the opportunity to discuss topics and exchange ideas with each other. “Networking is very important for our customers. After many successful events, our participant meeting has established itself as the most important event of the year in the field of warehouse management systems. The participant meeting is the perfect opportunity for analysing trends and developments in the WMS market because each guest is an expert” Detlef Spee, head of the Department of Intralogistics and IT planning, is already looking forward to the event. Team warehouse logistics will also inform participants and answer questions about the latest development in the area of WMS in brief but informative presentations.

Guests will have plenty of chances to talk to other participants as well as members of Team warehouse while eating lunch or enjoying a coffee and cake break later in the day: many opportunities to make new contacts, share opinions, and discuss the latest trends.

Time and time again the event has proven to be a win-win situation for all participants. Dr. Jochen Fuhrmann of AEB GmbH praised the »good mixture of the sharing of experiences and new trends so that not only were representatives able to scrutinize their own company strategies but they also got to enrich their visions of the future.« Horst Reichert of S&P Computersysteme GmbH stated that in his view the »warehouse logistics community« and the event have »almost become a surrogate manufacturer association for WMS.«

The participant meeting takes place on Thursday, 30 October 2014 from 09:00 to 15:00 in the conference hall of the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML in Dortmund. The event is free for participants of the WMS Database.
