Ehrhardt + Partner wins the “Logistics Oscar” for the best product

The LogiMAT is one of the world’s largest and most important trade fairs for intralogistics. For 12 years now, more than 1,000 internationally active logistics companies meet every year in order to present their latest product innovations and services.

The year 2014 offered a special highlight for the internationally successful E+P company group: Already on the first day of the trade fair, the warehouse experts won the coveted award »Best Product LogiMAT 2014« – also known as the »Logistics Oscar«. An independent jury presents this award to leading innovators of the logistics industry. From 80 competitors, E+P was selected as the winner in the category order picking, packaging, storage.

The Ehrhardt + Partner group is one of the internationally leading experts in warehouse logistics. The LogiMAT as the most important logistics trade fair in Europe has a fixed place in the E+P calendar. »We use this platform in order to present our latest innovations and developments to logistics experts«, says Marco Ehrhardt, managing partner of the E+P group. This year, the E+P solution VIR – Voice Integrates RFID – received the award for the »Best Product LogiMAT 2014«. VIR combines the two technologies Pick-by-Voice and RFID, integrating their specific advantages: Besides significantly reduced preparation times for multi-order picking, VIR virtually eliminates errors. In addition, the users benefit from a simplified container management. »VIR is only one of the results of our long-term research and development activities«, Marco Ehrhardt continues. »Therefore, we are even more pleased to see that we received this award in such a strong field of competitors.«

Currently, the E+P group employs approximately 300 people. Since the company foundation in 1987, the research work and the product development have always played an important role. Already since 2002, the warehouse experts cooperate with a renowned German university where they founded the chair for software technology and e-logistics with the help of a Foundation. The award-winning product was developed and introduced together with this university. A pilot project in the warehouse of a German electronics wholesaler is already enjoying great success.
