New traffic light function identifies bottlenecks in the warehouse

CIM GmbH, manufacturer of warehouse management software from Fürstenfeldbruck near Munich, will be presenting their optimized key indicator cockpit at LogiMAT 2015 in Stuttgart. The cockpit is an extension of the Business Intelligence tool in CIM’s Warehouse Management System, PROLAG®World.

Intelligent Networking – Mastering Complexity

LogiMAT is opening its doors again in Stuttgart from February 10 to February 12, 2015. True to the motto Intelligent Networking – Mastering Complexity, CIM GmbH will be demonstrating their innovative key indicator cockpit with integrated traffic light function from their Business Intelligence module.

The tool gathers the key performance indicators for the warehouse and displays a graph of the results in the form of a modern cockpit. Each user can configure their own customized view containing the most important key indicators such as picks per storage area or degree of utilization per storage and retrieval machine (SRM). The data is read out and displayed in a diagram which can show the information for a specific day, hour, week, month or year. Users can also define threshold values in the dashboard which are monitored continuously during productive operations. The dashboard displays the relevant traffic light symbol and whenever a threshold is violated, the traffic light display switches and the background of the diagram turns red. This provides users with a central, standardized overview of the most important functionalities in the warehouse and allows them to measure, steer and optimize their complex storage processes.
Visitors to CIM’s stand will also be able to find out all about the five warehouse management software products: PROLAG®World Basic, PROLAG®World Trade & Retail, PROLAG®World Production, PROLAG®World Health Care and PROLAG®World 3PL. Each product is tailored to the distinct logistics requirements of retailers, manufacturers, 3PL providers and the healthcare sector. The software can be enhanced with additional industry packages or individual modules such as the forklift routing system, shipping system and data converter. What’s more, visitors will have the opportunity to design their own Warehouse Management System using the configurator.

A new approach to integration

As part of the accompanying programme, logistics consultant Sebastian Terbille from CIM will be giving a presentation about order picking with smart glasses. As well as the general technology behind smart glasses and the various pros and cons, Mr. Terbille will be talking about the benefits of smart glasses for deaf and hearing-impaired employees in the warehouse.
