09.05.2018

Under the motto »Efficient Warehouse Management - Digitised and Networked in the Social Networked Industry«, the »warehouse logistics«-Community organised a forum sequence at this year's CeMAT and enjoyed a large number of visitors.

The forum sequence of the »warehouse logistics«-Community in the Logistics 4.0 Forum was a complete success and aroused great interest among the trade fair visitors. Under the direction of Christoph Pott, Fraunhofer IML, Team warehouse logistics, the WMS providers TEAM, inconso AG, SAP Germany and COGLAS GmbH gave short presentations on topics that currently concern them in the field of digitization and logistics 4.0 and thus set essential impulses for the future.

The forum sequence started with Mr. Christoph Pott's introductory presentation »Efficient Warehouse Management - Digitised and Networked in the Social Networked Industry« and thus laid the foundation for the further program. The main focus was on the »Vision of the Social Networked Industry« and the model of digital industrial work.

Following on from this, Mr. Michael Baranowski, TEAM, in his presentation »ProStore-Talk with Alexa - the use of language assistants in intralogistics« showed the fundamental developments and new possibilities through voice control and cloud computing with ProStore in the warehouse and then handed over the helm to Mr. Marcus Müller, inconso AG.

With his contribution »Networking of people and systems in logistics 4.0« Mr. Marcus Müller gave an insight into the current development and the immediately usable possibilities of inconso AG in the field of digitization. In addition to the presentation of voice solutions such as »multimodal data radio«, those present also received important information about the possible uses of data glasses in connection with data radio technology.

Subsequently, Mr. Ralf Schränkler, SAP Germany, informed about the possibilities of an increasing use of human-machine interaction in the warehouse, supported by SAP EWM, and left the field to Mr. Hans-Jörg Wildhagen, COGLAS GmbH, who concluded the forum sequence with his contribution on the topic »Efficient warehouse management for SMEs in the cloud«.
