28.10.2020

SOLVO was awarded the «Logistics of the Year – 2019» title by the «International Logistics Academy» for its contribution to the development of the industry.

The «Logistics of the Year» project is a non-profit platform that supports Russian logistics industry. The project objectives are mobilization of resources, support in the development and competitiveness of business in the context of changes in the global economy. Also, the project team tries to objectively show real information about the current state of the Russian logistics market and its participants.

The award nominations reflect the state of the Russian logistics services market, which unites companies to develop the market and effectively interact in the supply chain.

SOLVO became the winner in the nomination «The best supplier of IT solutions in logistics».

The expert council of the award assessed the activities of logistics companies in 2019. For the research, it used the data provided by these companies on the volume of work performed and financial indicators.

The contest board assessed such performance indicators of companies as turnover growth dynamics, company presence in Russia, the level of competence, the company's image and other criteria.

For example, in 2019, compared to the previous year, SOLVO demonstrated growth in such important indicators as profitability, trust of new large partners, as well as expanded the company's staff and investments in personnel training.

«SOLVO has been honored with this award for several years in a row. This is a very important achievement for us, which objectively shows the results of the company's work both in the Russian market and in the export direction. For example, last year we successfully implemented Solvo automation systems at the warehouses of the largest Russian alcoholic beverage company, Beluga Group, in the ports of Belgium and Angola. One of the leaders of the Belarusian brewing industry OJSC «Lidskoe pivo» has entrusted the automation of its warehouses to Solvo.WMS systems. According to a research conducted by the «Warehouses of Russia» magazine, SOLVO systems became the second most popular in Russia in 2019. Our team is growing, our competencies are growing, and new interesting tasks and challenges are emerging in the industry», – says Daniil Pershin, Marketing Director of SOLVO.

Today SOLVO is one of the leading developers of software for automation of warehouse and port logistics in Russia, as well as a major system integrator providing integrated Supply Chain Execution solutions for managing any storage logistics facility. And this is confirmed by the recognition of the international expert community. So, at the end of 2019, Solvo.WMS successfully passed the annual validation of the German research institute of goods distribution Fraunhofer IML according to the VDI 3601 standard and received a certificate with a seal confirming a full assessment of the WMS functionality. And at the beginning of 2020, the company was recognized by the St. Petersburg business community as the «Exporter of the Year».

«In 2019, we published Russian version expert edition »Warehouse Management System (WMS) Implementation Guide« together with Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics and other participants in the IT-technologies market for intralogistics. We hope it will be useful to those companies that are interested in establishing internal business processes in their own warehouse and are ready to implement WMS. The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 has become a serious test for the global economy, and today for the leading players in the logistics market, the issues of automating the storage and transportation of goods are not a whim, but a question of survival in a highly competitive market. To help our clients, partners and all companies interested in the automation of intralogistics, we continue to conduct a series of online webinars and consultations, where we share useful information about the possibilities of automating logistics processes. And, of course, we continue to improve Solvo's technological solutions for the automation of warehouses and container terminals, trying to meet the challenges of today and anticipate new challenges for the industry», – concludes Alexey Smirnov, Deputy General Director of SOLVO for Sales.
