Frost & Sullivan names Manhattan Associates as Asia Pacific WMS Provider

21.07.2010

Continued investment and success in region earn company WMS award for third year in a row

Leading consulting company Frost & Sullivan has named Manhattan Associates 'Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Provider of the Year in Asia Pacific for 2010'. It is the second year in succession that Manhattan has won this coveted award. Having won Frost & Sullivan's award for 'Best IT Systems Vendor for Warehouse Management' at the 2008 ASEAN Frost & Sullivan Transportation & Logistics Awards, Manhattan has earned three awards in as many years in the Asia Pacific region for its Warehouse Management Systems. The recipients of Frost & Sullivan's awards are benchmarked against the highest standards of measurement criteria and represent the best-in-class in Asia Pacific.

All short-listed companies are evaluated by Frost & Sullivan based on actual measureable performance. The measured parameters include leadership in new product innovation, breadth of products and solutions, major customer acquisitions, business/market strategy, new market penetration (geographical, product), market share growth/improvement and increased brand recognition.

Mr. Keow Soon Hiong, senior consultant at Frost & Sullivan, said, "Manhattan Associates has yet again demonstrated outstanding achievement and superior performance across the Asia Pacific region and is a worthy recipient of the award in the Warehouse Management Systems category."

Jeff Baum, Manhattan Associates' senior vice president, International (Asia Pacific), commented, "To win a Frost & Sullivan award once is great however to be recognised as the leader in WMS for three years in a row in the region is testament to Manhattan's long-term commitment and success in Asia-Pacific. Against a general trend of supply chain vendors pulling back on their investments or consolidating, we continue to invest in our distribution management and extended enterprise management solutions for our customers and partners in this diverse set of markets."

Continued growth and momentum in Asia Pacific

Even with the global financial crisis impacting the overall business in late 2008 and 2009, Manhattan has signed a significant number of deals in the Asia Pacific region adding several key accounts to the company's expanding customer base. With a primary focus on the optimisation of distribution operations and helping customers manage their end-to-end supply chains, Manhattan now serves well over 100 distribution clients across the Asia Pacific region. The company has witnessed an uptick in the number of companies adopting its supply chain optimisation solutions across the region as more organisations realise the true benefits that its solutions offer, including increased productivity, reduced operational costs and streamlined processes throughout all supply chain operations.

"With 150 Manhattan associates dedicated to improving clients' distribution operations across the region, a growing partner community and well over 250 sites managed by our solutions, we offer a scale advantage for our global and local customers across the region," said Baum. "We look forward to continuing to work closely with existing clients and to help them become supply chain leaders in their respective industries as well to welcoming new ones as we look to expand our customer community in the region in the second half of 2010 and beyond."
