PSI Presents Comprehensive Suite of Solutions for Production, Logistics and Energy

11.04.2016

PSI will be presenting from 25 to 29 April 2016 at the Hannover Trade Fair (Hall 7, Stand A26), along with a solution for an integrated planning and control system (PEC), a comprehensive range of logistical and network control solutions for production, logistics and energy. Additionally, an integrated dynamic production planning and control scenario that combines integrated PSI-wide product components will be demonstrated.

The main focus of PSI Automotive & Industry will be on the Planning, Execution & Control (PEC) solution, which enables enterprises with existing ERP systems with a strong emphasis on commercial management to meet the high standards set by complex production and logistics processes. These include the visualisation of work schedules, planning to avoid limited capacities, sequence planning, maintenance planning for machinery and software solutions for mobile employees. With the inclusion of specific manufacturing models and certified interface technology, the PEC system represents an integrated planning and control system that is already used by many major enterprises with different requirements profiles.

PSI Logistics will be presenting its PSI Logistics Suite with the latest standard software for production resource management and stock withdrawals, intralogistics, Warehouse Management (PSIwms), supply chain optimisation including visualisation of production versus logistics costs (PSIglobal), Tracking & Tracing, transport management (PSItms) and time slot management for loading bays. PSI uses modern, Industrial Internet-ready technology, including PSI-Click-Design, Internet-of-Things, mobile solutions, voice-controlled transport of picking systems and the Logistics Service Bus.

As previously announced PSI will also be demonstrating a scenario for a dynamic production planning and control system that is specially tailored to meet the complex needs of contract manufacturing, such as in the chassis assembly in the automobile industry or machine and system assembly. The integrated PSI system automatically plans and calculates optimised production sequences with the interactions of the order management of the ERP system and the control room with the integration of the Qualicision® technology. The processes are visualised, controlled and monitored by PSIjscada. Modules of the intralogistics solution PSIwms, are taking care of the transport management for production supply and production disposal. The system also controls the holistic warehousing and distribution.

The PSI division Electrical Energy will be represented with systems and project examples from network control technology and operations management. Examples of customer systems from distribution and transmission grids, the latter including the SASO function (Security Assessment and System Optimization) will be presented. For multi-utility segment, PSI will be showing a municipal utility customer project, based on PSIcontrol Release 4.4 with the new HMI and EEG feed-in management functions. Visitors will also be able to see PSIcommand Release 3.4 with its suite of functions for disruption management and maintenance in complex network infrastructures including the integrated multi-critical optimisation Qualicision® developed by the PSI subsidiary F/L/S Fuzzy Logik Systeme.

On the basis of its own software products, PSI AG develops and integrates complete solutions for energy management (gas, oil, electricity, heat, energy trading), production management (mining, metals, automotive, mechanical engineering, logistics) and infrastructure management for transport and safety. PSI was founded in 1969 and employs 1,650 persons worldwide.
