FIS Customer Durable Scores with Customer Lecture on Professional Master Data Management at the BME Theme Day 2016

08.12.2016

Companies wanting to reach the decision-makers in the user departments should rather focus on practical lectures than on theoretical presentations or advertisement. This is the conclusion drawn by Christian Hüsing, head of Enterprise Information Management at FIS, from the 6th BME Theme Day on November 30, 2016 in Frankfurt/Main, where FIS was represented as partner.

When Michael Truß, head of materials management at DURABLE Hunke & Jochheim GmbH & Co. KG, informed on the potentials resulting from the work with the SAP-based FIS/mpm master data solution in his lecture »Master data in a new light«, the approximately 30 participants paid utmost attention. Particular attention was also given to the practical lecture held by Osram subsidiary Ledvance. Between the presentations, the FIS team was able to have interesting conversations with the participants who mainly represented companies that have dealt with master data management only rudimentarily so far and who wanted to get a first overview.

Consistent and correct master data management increasingly becomes a decisive factor for company success and is inseparable from digital transformation – the motto of this year's expert event organized by the Bundesverband Materialwirtschaft, Einkauf und Logistik e.V. (Federal Association of Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics). Master data maintenance goes hand in hand with customer-oriented Customer Engagement and Commerce (CEC) topics. Prerequisite for functioning front office systems at the interface to the customer is clear, updated and maintained master data. The BME Theme Day offered profound insights on how Durable manages master data maintenance with FIS/mpm.
