Vanderlande has developed a ‘cobot application’ (a robot physically capable of working alongside human operators) together with the leading Finnish trading company in assembly and fastening materials, Würth Oy, and their logistics software partner (Leanware Oy) in a shared pilot project. The cobot is now operational at Würth’s logistics centre in the town of Riihimäki, just north of Helsinki.

The figures speak for themselves. Since the introduction of the LFS.wms warehouse management system two years ago, welding technology and workshop expert Technolit® has managed its central warehouse in Großenlüder (with more than 50,000 items) and its goods outgoing (with up to 2,500 packages and 140 pallets every day) with maximum efficiency, seeing around 21 percent fewer picking errors, a roughly 25 percent improvement in performance and an increase in stock reliability of about 30 percent.

Warehouse management for 40,000 aircraft parts

Swiss aircraft manufacturer Pilatus has optimized its warehouse management. There are three state-of-the-art automated storage areas at the heart of the logistics center in Stans near Lucerne, which was built in 2015. The LFS.wms warehouse management system from Ehrhardt + Partner (E+P) guarantees smooth process control in the automated small parts, tray and pallet warehouse and throughout the warehouse environment.
