Company description

FIS Informationssysteme und Consulting GmbH is an independent company focusing on SAP software and projects with more than 600 employees at 5 locations in Germany, Poland and the UK. FIS is one of the few consulting companies being DIN EN ISO 9001 certified. Since 1992, we have been the competent partner for SAP and SAP implementation projects, i.e. for the planning of systems, their infrastructure and implementation, go-live and continued technical support.

As SAP partner with “Gold” status, FIS relies on state-of-the-art SAP technology (SAP S4/HANA Enterprise Management, SAP Fiori, SAPUI5 etc.) for its smart solutions. All solutions are based on the SAP HANA database and complement the SAP standard version in a meaningful way:

With its industry template for technical trade, FIS is the market leader in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Among its customers are nearly 200 medium-sized companies from industry and trade. Irrespective of the industry, the generic solutions provided by FIS optimize business processes and work performance in the ERP system.

Together with our Medienwerft subsidiary, we will cover the complete SAP range of topics in the field of Customer Engagement and Commerce (CEC).

Our subsidiary FIS-ASP GmbH is a service provider for application hosting, outsourcing as well as outtasking for SAP systems. FIS and FIS-ASP operate 4 data centers of their own in Germany.

The cloud-based solutions of FIS-iLog GmbH, our cloud subsidiary, create a basis for the easy, safe and efficient processing of logistics processes of different companies on one shared platform. iRetPlat (integrated Returnable System Platform) enables the easy, innovative and sustainable management of returnable transport packagings for the transport logistics market.

SAP Extended Warehouse Management

Description

The right solution for each warehouse

SAP provides diverse industry-independent logistics solutions for covering warehouse logistics processes.

FIS supports you in the implementation of SAP Warehouse solutions. More than 20 years of experience in warehouse logistics and outstanding expertise in the SAP ERP area enable an optimal supply chain integration into your corporate upstream and downstream process steps.

While the SAP Warehouse Management solution is fully integrated in SAP ERP ECC 6.0 or SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management, the SAP Extended Warehouse Management is usually connected to the existing retailing system (ERP).

Within the scope of an individual analysis (fit-gap analysis) of your processes, our experts will identify together with you the right system with the appropriate version for your requirements. For finding the right solution, it is decisive which degree of coverage of your processes can be achieved with each of the two solutions. Here, a distinction is made between two basic systems:

SAP LES

– Logistics Execution System – the solution for warehouses of medium complexity

including SAP Warehouse Management (WM), Task and Resource Management (TRM) and SAP Transport (LE-TRA).

The SAP Warehouse Management is the core element for mapping warehouse logistics processes.

However, no standard version can cover everything. Therefore, FIS provides field-tested warehouse logistics enhancements enabling an even more convenient, practice-oriented and efficient use of the respective system. Our FIS/smw® solution provides numerous enhancements specifically for your warehouse logistics at an attractive value for money and ready for immediate use. With our function enhancements - the Rapid Deployment Functions - we offer you ready-to-use enhancements outside the actual warehouse logistics solution for your warehouse. These functions help you to quickly reduce costs and to optimize processes in the operational area.

Your benefits of an FIS implementation:

  • Fully integrated in SAP ERP and therefore continuous document flows
  • Sustainability through integration scenarios when switching to SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management or SAP Extended Warehouse Management
  • Individual developments for your warehouse and specific mapping of processes
  • Numerous field-tested add-ons ready for immediate use enhancing the standard version (mapping of mobile business processes for instance)
  • Process consulting and integration scenarios along the entire supply chain

SAP EWM

- Extended Warehouse Management - the solution for warehouses of medium or high complexity

SAP EWM is a highly flexible warehouse management system for a continuous design of warehouse processes. Due to this flexibility, the mapping of very easy up to highly complex processes is enabled in the standard version. Common selection criteria are, in particular, the reduction of interfaces by directly connecting warehouse automation technology and the option of graphically displaying the warehouse structure and reports. Specifically retail companies, production companies, logistics service providers as well as spares logistics and ambitious distribution warehouses benefit from this standardized diversity of functions.

SAP EWM as the current local warehouse management system is integrated into the respective retailing system both in SAP ERP ECC 6.0 and SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management. FIS has a high level of expertise in this area and, if required, enables a particularly easy methodology when it comes to implementing SAP EWM by means of an individual template solution.

Your benefits of an FIS implementation:

  • Seamless connection to the existing retailing system (SAP ERP ECC 6.0 or SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management) by FIS
  • FIS/ewm+ template solution as implementation turbo with simplified project methodology
  • Preconfigured and documented processes
  • Individual developments for your warehouse and specific mapping of processes
  • Integration scenarios along the entire supply chain
  • Optimized and ergonomic dialogs for better usability
  • Advanced and mobile dialogs
  • High functional degree of coverage from the entry of arriving trucks (Yard Management)
  • via opportunistic cross-docking and
  • distribution of warehouse tasks to the "right" resources
  • up to diverse functions for mapping goods issue processes (e.g. wave management, pick, pack & pass)
