KlinCAT® meets SAP EWM powered by SWAN

On the LogiMAT exhibition, the Klinkhammer Group will present in hall 1, booth 1C46, the extension of its software portfolio in the field of WMS and materials flow control. In addition to KlinkWARE®, Klinkhammer now offers together with its partner SWAN also SAP Extended Warehouse Management to be able to supply turnkey warehouse management solutions within its SAP World.
In the course of a partnership of the Klinkhammer Group with the SAP logistics specialist SWAN GmbH, the Klinkhammer multi-level shuttle system KlinCAT® and in future all high bay and small parts warehouses will, in addition to KlinkWARE®, soon be available with the warehouse management system SAP EWM.
Ideal add-on for customized intralogistics solutions
The partnership between the Klinkhammer Group, general contractor and system integrator in intralogistics for 45 years, and the SWAN GmbH, a SAP logistics and automation specialist, guarantees a smooth integration of the warehouse management into the SAP environment. The Klinkhammer Group, in cooperation with the development partner SWAN, a certified Silver Partner of SAP, accompanies the customers when introducing custom-fit SAP EWM logistics solutions from consulting and initial conception to implementation, training courses and support of the logistics processes and systems. During this process, SWAN contributes its logistics expertise gained from more than 500 man-years of successfully realized projects in various branches of industry.

Connecting the KlinCAT shuttle system to SAP EWM
Thanks to directly connecting the SAP EWM material flow computer (SAP MFS) to the controllers of the KlinCAT® multi-level shuttles programmed by Klinkhammer, an optimum implementation into the existing SAP environment of the customer is guaranteed. The SAP interfaces are optimized to the Klinkhammer systems and devices and are made available as modules. SAP EWM is an integral part of the SAP Supply Chain Execution Platform and supports all material flow processes in the warehouse from stock management to movement of goods.
The functionalities of SAP EWM reach from the different goods in processes to order processing, wave management, goods out processes, manual and automated order picking processes and special topics such as cross-docking, slotting or batch management. For mapping ergonomic graphical user interfaces, such as e.g. in order picking dialogues in automatic warehouses, tray subdivisions or similar, SWAN creates interactive SAPUI5 and SP FIORI applications.
