Dagab is the Axfoods group’s wholesaler for larger stores. The goal is to optimize the flow of goods, information and capital between suppliers and stores. Dagab supplies Axfoods’ wholly owned stores with around 85 percent of their volume, mainly groceries, colonial products, meats, and parts of their dairy range. Dagab has three large DCs in Sweden, Jordbro outside Stockholm, Backa in Gothenburg, and Borlänge.

Dagab is now building a new high bay warehouse, a buffer warehouse beside the current building in Gothenburg. The systems will be integrated and SattStore WMS will control warehouse management.

”This investment gives great advantages in our existing business and means we can use our warehouse as a national DC,” says Anders Agerberg, acting CEO, Dagab. We chose Consafe Logistics as they had previous experience of rebuilding WMS systems within Dagab.”

Dagab are choosing the well-established partnership of Consafe Logistics and Daifuku. Cooperation between the companies has proved very fruitful, especially within the food industry where many well-known companies have chosen to invest in automated warehouse management systems from Consafe and Daifuku.

”We are a strong supplier to the food industry and have great understanding and expertise concerning the changes and challenges facing our customers. Our cooperation with Daifuku gives us a complete, effective solution for automated warehouses where SattStore WMS is the central figure. We are extremely pleased that Dagab chose us, says Robert Jansson, CEO, Consafe Logistics Group.
