Successful implementation of ISASTORE® at Partmaster, Howick

Partmaster entrusted ISA South Africa with the delivery and implementation of a new WMS...

Partmaster in Howick, a member of the AFGRI Group, is the leading supplier of wear and spare parts to the agricultural industry throughout South Africa. To improve operations and customer service, as well as to be prepared for expected future growth, Partmaster decided to entrust ISA South Africa with the delivery and implementation of the warehouse management system ISASTORE®.

After the barcode labeling of storage locations and products, as well as the programming of the interface to SYSPRO® was successfully completed, the implementation of the WMS, including complete stock migration and user training, was achieved in only two weeks. Highly motivated client staff, an experienced implementation team and the profile-based structure of the software were key to the success of the project, thus, avoiding a lengthy 'implementation period'.

Virtually 'over night', 18 employees had to change over and work now on PCs and RF-Scanners with ISASTORE®.

A good indicator is the receiving area, which was always deemed 'too small' - now mainly empty of having efficient tools on hand to process the daily tasks in the warehouse, as shorter process times also reduce the cash to cash cycle.

Already on the second day after going 'live' with the new WMS the pick performance could have been significantly improved, compared to the pre-implementation figures. Not even touching the extensive optimisation potential of ISASTORE® yet, giving the WMS time to gather the required data over the next couple of weeks, Partmaster will be able to 'fine tune' its operations at a later stage.
