psb handed over a new distribution center to Hager Tehalit

For the distribution of goods, with destination Germany and northeast Europe, the Hager group, market leader for electrical installations, has inaugurated a new distribution center implemented by psb intralogistics.

Approx. 270 m pallet conveyor technology was installed on steel mezzanines (more than three meters high).

Six psb sprinter AS/RS miniload cranes supply six workstations, where parallel picking, with up to eight orders at the same time, is possible, on the basis of a »put-to-light« system. Via a lift and a telescope, the small parts, which are packed at five stations, are automatically transported directly into the truck of the logistics company. Small parts picked for »mixed« orders are led to 14 »consolidation« stations; at this point, the picked bulk items are merged with the respective small parts.

The central warehouse in Blieskastel (southwest Germany), combines all external warehouse locations, which were spread throughout Germany. With the new logistics facility, the manufacturer of electrical components, Hager Tehalit, is also able to deliver all parcel service orders by German customers, received before 14:00 h, within 24 hours.
