Swedish Armed Forces rely on Consafe Logistics WMS

SWALOG, the logistics centre of the Armed Forces will use Consafe Logistics Warehouse Management System for their new central warehouse in Sweden.
The WMS will be implemented in a new building in Arboga, close to the Swedish centre of gravity for logistics. The warehouse will be utilised by the Swedish Armed Forces for handling distribution of clothing, personal equipment, technical supplies and spare parts.
The warehouse is 44 000 square meters and up to 23 m high. It is both manual and automated with13 cranes and a complex conveyor system with pick stations.
The site will employ about 60 people working with conventional picking in racks, shelves, automated compacts stores and on automated pick stations. Consafe Logistics will supply a full WMS with WLAN, Vehicle Computers and the Warehouse Control System. The mechanical equipment will be supplied by Swisslog.
