Infor Warehouse Management Recognized by The Global Supply Chain Council

Infor and PG Logistics Jointly Win Best Supply Chain IT Solution award at CHaINA ‘08

Infor announced that it has been recently honored with the "Best Supply Chain IT Solution for China" Award from CHaINA '08, China's largest Supply Chain event, attended by over 300 delegates from the industry.

The award, presented by The Global Supply Chain Council, recognizes Infor for its recent implementation of a Warehouse Management Solution (WMS) at P.G. Logistics distribution center in Suzhou. As the first domestic enterprise group approved by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce to register itself as a logistics company, P.G. Logistics Group is now the largest and most modern third-party logistics enterprise in China. The group's main logistics service revenue exceeded RMB 1.5 billion in 2006.

P.G. Logistics began implementation of the Infor WMS in 2003 in its Suzhou base to manage Philips Electronics CDC logistics business. With the smooth implementation of the project, P.G. Logistics warehouse operations reached new heights and won praise from both internal and external customers. The company replicated the success and applied Infor WMS in its other warehouse operations in Hefei, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Shenyang, serving customers such as Kraft Foods, Procter & Gamble, Phillips Electronics, Samsung Electronics, and Unilever.

According to Gu Xiaoyi, deputy director, IT Department, PG Logistics, the company's warehouse handling volume in the 4th quarter of 2005 was up 160% compared to the same period in 2003, and the distribution volume in 2006 was 18 times larger than in 2003.

This is the fourth consecutive year that The Global Supply Chain Council presented its CHaINA Awards to celebrate best practices and superior achievements enabled by supply chain management in China. Over 120 supply chain senior executives gathered to give recognition and compliments to five outstanding winners at a prestigious gala dinner held in Shanghai. The CHaINA Awards are aimed at recognizing and applauding end-users and practitioners of the industry. Many of the nominations are jointly submitted by manufacturers, retailers and service providers.
