Anglo-Nordic Selects Aldata Apollo To Help Customers Optimize Retail Space

Oy Anglo-Nordic Ab has selected Aldata to supply and implement its Apollo Space Optimization software suite to manage space planning for Anglo-Nordic’s retail partners.

Oy Anglo-Nordic Ab, an importer and wholesaler of high quality branded goods such as mobile phones and sports equipment, has selected Aldata, the retail software specialist, to supply and implement its Apollo Space Optimization software suite to manage space planning for Anglo-Nordic’s retail partners.

Aldata Apollo was selected for its rich functionality and the fact the solution can be tailored to the customer’s requirements. Previously, Anglo-Nordic had carried out all space planning with the use of manual drawing tools.

Aldata’s Apollo Space and Assortment Optimization is the market leader in space planning and is used by more than 300 clients in the retail industry globally. Retailers are able to improve the retail space planning process utilizing advanced merchandizing rules, category assortments, performance criteria, and space constraints.

Roger Sittnikow, Head of Strategy, Anglo-Nordic, said; “This solution will enable us to deliver our existing customers with an even better service, as well as helping us attract new clients by offering improved targeted assortments and more efficient use of customer sales space. As a business it means we will have a more professional way of working with our clients. This project will take us to a new level of space management.”Anglo-Nordic is also exploring the option of an upgrade that will automate the production of planograms. The project is currently at pilot stage, with go-live planned for early 2010.
