100% logistics IT with »warehouse logistics«

On November 03, 2022, after a two-year break due to the pandemic, the 21st participant meeting finally took place again at the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML in Dortmund. This year the motto was »100 % logistics IT«.
With a varied program of technical presentations, innovation pitches and discussion rounds, new impulses were set among the participants. In particular, the opportunity for a joint exchange was once again highly appreciated by the participants of the industry meeting of the »warehouse logistics«-community.
Among the topics discussed this year were sustainability in the field of logistics IT, mobile robotics, open source software and personnel resource planning. Through the technical exchange between the logistics IT providers, forward-looking guiding ideas were developed, which provide essential ideas for the further development of their systems and corporate strategies.
Within the program item Innovation Exchange, scientists of the Fraunhofer Institute presented in a stimulating exchange the latest developments on topics such as implementation of the digital waybill in practice, new possibilities of image processing in logistics and ergonomic resource planning in order picking.
Furthermore, Philipp Wrycza gave insights into the »Logistikbude: The out of the box operating system for reusable«.
