Seed specialist primed for future growth

Seed specialist Rijk Zwaan is expanding its R&D center in De Lier in the western Netherlands. A major part of this center is a two-aisle air-conditioned automated storage/retrieval system from viastore including viad@tWMS.

The system is to safeguard the company’s continuous growth and secure high-quality and reliable deliveries. “This financial investment confirms the management‘s confidence in the future of the company,” emphasized Maarten Zwaan Senior.

Rijk Zwaan was established in Rotterdam back in 1924 and has developed from a shop selling vegetable seed into a global manufacturer and distributor of high-quality seed varieties. The supply of customers with reliable products in top quality is given high priority.
