Capabilities will enable DSD manufacturers to efficiently manage store, fleet and warehouse operations

RedPrairie Corporation, a productivity software provider, has announced enhanced support for direct store delivery (DSD) operations with its E2e product suite, including further integration points with store Execution Management, Fleet Management, and Warehouse Management solutions. DSD manufacturers can use the new capabilities to further optimize workforce labor, fleet assets, and inventory movements – from manufacturing plants, to distribution centers, to retail stores.

“With newly enhanced DSD support, our solutions allow manufactuers to have complete control of product and process, including the ability to provide in-store services with remote merchandise representatives,” says RedPrairie Vice President of Product Strategy, Tom Kozenski. “Currently, these in-store service reps are often totally disconnected from the rest of the manufacturer’s supply chain. That is, their in-store activities are often not synchronized with the delivery schedules of the merchandise for which they are responsible. Our solutions can provide ways to address that issue.”

This new integrated process can result in a myriad of benefits, including:

■Efficient workforce utilization across store representatives, drivers, and warehouse personnel
■Improvements in store sell-through
■Lower stock outs
■More accurate store billing
■Improvements in promotional execution.
This complete solution can provide improved customer service and greater profitability for RedPrairie clients that provide DSD service to their customers.
