The new validation round starts with the updated questionnaire version 2018

02.02.2018

The annual validation of the Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) listed on warehouse-logistics.com ensures the high quality of the information stored in the WMS database. The »Team warehouse logistics« of the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics (IML) enables WMS customers to make a precise system selection according to individual criteria and detailed system comparisons based on continuously updated manufacturer specifications.

In 2018, the »Team warehouse logistics« once again revised the validation questionnaire, taking into account current market developments and trends. Thus, the WMS database remains up to date in its function as a logistics platform for WMS providers and WMS customers.

The annual validation of the systems is based on the completion of a questionnaire comprising round 3,700 criteria, approximately 10 percent of the data was revised in the new version 2018. Among other things, the questionnaire was supplemented in the areas of »Chatbots in the control centre« and »Cloud«, while at the same time, aspects of the categories »Hazardous substances« and »Customs« had to be replaced. Complements were also made in the area of (agile) project management.

In the course of the update, questions on current and future developments and trends were also revised, which are evaluated in the WMS MARKET REPORT COMPACT. It will be released at the end of the year and, like its predecessor version, will be available as a free whitepaper for download at www.warehouse-logistics.com.

The WMS database on warehouse-logistics.com is one of the world's leading platforms for the functional comparison of Warehouse Management Systems. WMS providers have the possibility to present their products within the database and have them validated by the manufacturer-independent »Team warehouse logistics«. After successful validation, the system receives the validation label, a quality seal of the industry. WMS customers can use the »WMS Online Selection« to quickly find out which system best suits their warehouse or requirements by means of a comprehensive search criteria catalogue. Similarly, interested visitors can find information on more than 100 validated WMS reference projects on the platform.
