Elobau relies on a consistent IT infrastructure from PSI

The sensor technology manufacturer elobau increases efficiency and transparency in warehousing for production supply and shipping with the warehouse management system from PSI Logistics. Read in the trade magazine Logistik für Unternehmen, how elobau has standardized the software infrastructure at its headquarter in Leutkirch in the Allgäu region of Germany.

PSI Logistics creates a special advantage for companies through the expansion of the WMS standard interfaces and the support of new basic technologies, such as AutoStore. The sensor technology manufacturer elobau also benefits from this.

»Around 90 percent of our orders run through the AutoStore system. PSI Logistics was able to point to reference projects for the connection of AutoStore systems - an important aspect for the awarding of contracts. In the meantime, all hardware has been connected to PSIwms and the improved process efficiency confirms our decision for the IT system,« explains Matthias Gromer, Head of Logistics and Lean Coordinator at elobau.

The close networking of the integrated infrastructure with the ERP system PSIpenta and PSIwms reduces interfaces and, in addition to the connection of an AutoStore system, opens up further optimization potential for intralogistics processes. For example, elobau was able to achieve an increase in performance of 15 to 20 percent thanks to the standardized software infrastructure and coordinated processes.
