Optimized data flows thanks to consistent IT infrastructure at Mahr

The globally operating manufacturer of measurement technology has improved its own warehousing at the Göttingen site with the Warehouse Management System from PSI Logistics. Read in the trade magazine materialfluss, why logistics has become a success factor at Mahr.

Precision and the interaction of different components characterize the core business areas at Mahr. The company produces solutions for quality assurance in industrial manufacturing, including the automotive industry, mechanical engineering, aerospace, optics manufacturing and other sectors.

The informational backbone for the control of the complex processes in the plant is the warehouse management system of PSI Logistics. Mahr has used PSIwms to improve its own warehousing at the central production site in Göttingen. »It is an essential basis for realizing our ambitious sales targets,« judges Mahr Logistics Manager Christian Hofmeister.

Another benefit is maximum transparency: »Before the introduction of the WMS, the individual processing statuses of the orders were difficult to track,« summarizes the Logistics Manager. »Now, we have firmly defined storage areas that are provided with barcodes. By scanning the codes, we can see the current processing status in the WMS at any time and thus have a perfect overview.«
