WMS solutions that meet requirements at FIEGE

PSI Logistics and the contract logistics service provider FIEGE have used the agile Scrum method to implement requirement and market-oriented functionalities and applications for the warehouse management system PSIwms at the logistics provider. At best, the development of market-driven functionalities of a system should take place in close cooperation between software manufacturers, practitioners and users of the software systems. With this in mind, PSI Logistics founded the PSIwms Competence Group in 2018, in which the software products are further developed, designed for industry-specific requirements and optimized based on a continuous exchange of information and through joint development projects with customers.

One well-known customer and partner with whom PSI Logistics pursues this model of market-oriented product development is the FIEGE Group, based in Greven, Westphalia. The contract logistics service provider uses the warehouse management system PSIwms at more than ten locations. It controls intralogistics processes for customers from the fashion, healthcare, industry, consumer goods and online retail sectors, among others.

Within the cooperation, FIEGE and PSI Logistics jointly discussed, among other things, the processes in the e-commerce segment, which were set up by PSIwms as an industry-specific e-commerce solution equipped with preconfigured processes. This best-practice complete package for supporting efficient e-commerce processes in warehousing was presented to the trade audience for the first time at LogiMAT 2022. The industry solution from the cloud, which is designed as a template, is geared towards the processes and work requirements relevant for e-commerce and omnichannel.
