EPG AURA brings intelligence to where it creates the greatest leverage: the strategic and operational decision layer. In the »AURA Observer« function, the AI environment connects real-time data from warehousing, transportation, and automation, enriches it with visual information from camera-based systems, and analyzes it using the NVIDIA Metropolis vision AI platform.

The goal is to continuously capture and understand what is actually happening in the warehouse, without relying on traditional video surveillance. Instead of storing video footage or requiring people to monitor screens permanently, the AURA Observer analyzes video streams automatically and in real time. Modern AI models interpret the visual information instantly. The result is not video material, but structured events, states, and context-aware insights.

Technologically, the AURA Observer is based on high-performance video analytics, vision-language models, and hardware-accelerated AI processing. The collaboration with NVIDIA enables the stable, industrial-grade real-time use of compute-intensive models.

The AURA Observer does not merely detect movement. It evaluates what that movement means in its specific context. It distinguishes between normal operations and relevant deviations, such as hazardous situations, interrupted workflows, blocked traffic routes, or violations of safety rules.
