A good year in 2008 despite a difficult context

06.04.2009

With comparable turnover to the previous year’s and an order book full for the next six months at the end of December 2008, Savoye can look ahead with confidence.

Savoye, the specialist in global logistics engineering, is holding up well in a difficult economic context. Better still, it expects significant growth in its activities in 2009. The substantial investments in innovation made over the last two years have paid off.

The year began with some major successes including two significant deployments of the Picking Tray System, in France and Benelux.

Despite this promising start, Jean-Michel Guarneri, CEO of Savoye, remains vigilant: “Many of our customers are experiencing difficulties because of the economic downturn. Today more than ever we must offer them imaginative and appropriate ways of developing new logistics systems to help them reduce costs and improve their rate of service. Above all, we must help them to be ready to make the most of the upturn, when it comes. Things are bound to improve in the next few months and perhaps a lot more abruptly than we might expect. We’re keeping our fingers crossed for the global economy and the companies we work with!”
