Premier Inn extends contract with Atos for its Business Account Card Scheme

Atos Origin, an international IT services company and leader in hi-tech transactional services, today announced that it has signed a five year contract extension with Premier Inn to run its Business Account Card Scheme.
This is a transaction based scheme and further extends our collaborative relationship that started back in 2002.
Atos Origin will continue to run the successful Business Account Card Scheme that it designed and built. The scheme makes it very simple for business travellers to pay for their accommodation and meals while providing an efficient, totally transparent cost control for their organisations.
Since its launch, the take up and use of the Premier Inn Business Account Card Scheme has been impressive. Whitbread’s most recent financial results for 2009/10 reported Business Account users increased by 13% on the previous financial year. Sales grew by 2.6% to a total of £175.4 million.
In the first quarter of 2010/11 business account sales revenue have grown 21% with companies increasingly attracted by Premier Inn’s high quality bedrooms at budget prices and its 100% Good Night Guarantee.

The Premier Inn Business Account has numerous benefits; businesses can put a spending limit on the Business Account card, financial controllers receive a full breakdown of card usage and employees don't have to worry about submitting and processing receipts.
Following the acquisition in March this year of Shere - a market leading and innovative provider of integrated self-service, web and desktop systems delivering services to the UK rail and hospitality markets – Atos Origin now also provides the self-service kiosks used in the reception of 20 Premier Inn hotels. These kiosks speed up the check-in process by automating all aspects including [issuing electronic key cardstaking payment by debit or credit cards as well as printing receipts.
