STIHL automates their tools logistics with KNAPP

The French company, STIHL, decided to automate its distribution centre in Torcy, France to accommodate growth in the sectors power saws and garden equipment

Using the goods-to-person process, 80% of the order volume will be picked from the OSR Shuttle. Larger articles will be processed at Pick & Pack work stations. Along with wanting to improve service quality, increases in productivity and expansion of capacity were the focus of the investment. The automatic closing and sorting of cartons for dispatch ensures reliable delivery of goods to the end customer.
