WMS providers are exploring new horizons with warehouse logistics

»EXPLORING NEW HORIZONS WITH WAREHOUSE LOGISTICS« is the slogan of this year’s participants meeting of »warehouse logistics«. The participants of one of the world’s largest database for warehouse management systems (WMS) meet up on 27 October 2016 at the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML in Dortmund.
For the 16th time »Team warehouse logistics« invites the participants of the WMS Database to Dortmund. Besides lectures of current logistic topics and innovations, discussions will take place and provide the possibility to design the future of the warehouse management together. In addition, a specific guided tour is scheduled to get an insight in current research projects of the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML.
After receiving positive feedback from past meetings, participants will again be given the opportunity for discussions and sharing ideas in the »World Café«. As each guest is an expert, new ideas are constantly being developed. One of the World Café‘s results is the »Project Guide for the successful implementation of a Warehouse Management System (WMS)« which was published in 2014. For the first time discussed within the »Go-Live-Strategy« at the World Café in 2012, the WMS Project guide was jointly completed one year later and published on the warehouse logistics platform.
The topics of this year’s »World Café« are oriented to the slogan »EXPLORING NEW HORIZONS WITH WAREHOUSE LOGISTICS«.
