PSI launches dynamic production control at Hanover Trade Fair Show

14.03.2017

From 24 to 28 April 2017, PSI subsidiary PSI Automotive & Industry GmbH will be launching its integrated manufacturing scenario at the Hanover Trade Fair Show (Hall 7, Stand A24).

The trade fair scenario is made up of PSI software modules that control complex processes and requirements in real time, thus making production more efficient. It is defined by demand-driven practices, i.e. engineer to order (ETO), make to order (MTO) and serial production, while taking into account customer demands for highly specified orders and a wide variety of products at short notice. The solution enables KPI-optimised production planning and sequencing, guaranteeing the flexibility and autonomy of future manufacturing systems, such as swarm production, during given processes.

Established in 1966, strapping machine manufacturer and PSI customer Mosca GmbH will be using the SoniXs TR-6 Pro to demonstrate on the stand how the process of ordering and storing strapping can be simplified by combining RFID tags with PSI software.

PSI will also be offering an insight into solutions for optimising decision support as well as production control and process automation systems – also in the field of MES with the optimisation software Qualicision®. Amongst others, Qualicision® helps solve key planning and control tasks in the automotive industry. Simulations and optimisations in production planning, strategic budgeting, capacity planning and operational personnel deployment are examples of further areas of application. Qualicision® optimisation logic is an integral part of many PSI software tools.

A further highlight is the PSI Logistics Suite 2017, including the warehouse management system PSIwms Release 4.0 and the strategic standard system PSIglobal. Numerous new features and apps, plus PSIwms cloud offerings show customers and prospects the potential for optimising process control, increasing efficiency, and warehouse and supply chain flexibility.

Within the scope of the International MES Conference at Hanover Trade Fair Show, Dr Marcus Adams, chairman of ZVEI AG MES, will deliver a keynote speech on »From production control to production optimisation« as well as take part in the subsequent panel discussion.

PSI’s Electrical Energy division will also be represented with the workforce management system PSIcommand. The focus is on maintenance management functions in the Asset Service, including optimisation of the order processing with Qualicision®.

On the basis of its own software products, PSI AG develops and integrates complete solutions for energy management (energy networks, energy trading), production management (mining, metals, automotive, mechanical engineering, logistics) and infrastructure management for transport and safety. PSI was founded in 1969 and employs more than 1,600 persons worldwide.
