Everything Under One Roof: Braas Relies on inconsoPOD for Efficient Transport Processing from the Cloud

26.07.2017

inconso Cloud Solutions create transparency through to the last mile

As of late, Braas GmbH has been relying on a cloud-based business application for electronic delivery notes in the transport and shipping areas. Within a few months, Germany’s leading roof system provider and inconso digitalized the complete outbound delivery process. One benefit for drivers is simplified communication via an app. The cloud solution inconsoPOD (Proof of Delivery) developed by inconso makes this possible.

When delivering goods from 70 to up to 80,000 construction sites per year, drivers and freight carriers now have a mobile app, inconsoPOD, with which images, signatures, or digital delivery notes for outbound deliveries, pickups, returns and returnable goods can be recorded and communicated. A connected web portal gives users real-time access to the current shipment status, but also time stamps, item data or image documents.

»One benefit of inconso’s SaaS (Software as a Service) is the platform-independent availability with which inconsoPOD could be seamlessly integrated into the existing system landscape. Another is the operational readiness for common mobile end equipment based on iOS, Android and Windows Mobile, which made an uncomplicated migration possible,« emphasizes Massimo Acquasanta, Head of SAP Application at Braas.

In 2016, inconso expanded the existing software portfolio by adding warehouse, transport and supply chain solutions from the cloud as well as cloud-based services for shipping and dashboard activities. The »inconso Cloud Solutions« specifically aim at improving integration and communication capabilities along the supply chain. inconso makes the solutions available via a certified computing center that meets the highest safety standards.
