From 13.-15. March 2018 at LogiMAT in hall 8, booth C41, S&P Computersysteme GmbH will show how an innovative and clever warehouse management system can enable smooth intralogistics processes with maximum mobility.
In everyday life, it has long since become a matter of course that with our mobile devices, we have access to all the information we need and are able to carry out all the interactions we want to do, anywhere, anytime. Every employee in logistics should have this mobility - from the order picker to the control center employee to the logistics manager. And this is exactly what S & P is offering with a new WMS release, which will be presented for the first time at LogiMAT 2018: The warehouse management software SuPCIS-L8 will receive a comprehensive upgrade in 2018 with numerous functions for even better and more intuitive mobile warehouse management. The new feature package brings even more control center functions to the mobile device and can be used on rugged logistics mobile devices but also on iPhones and Android smartphones.

Improved presentation for true mobility

However, access to all data and information via a mobile device is not enough. The content must be visually prepared so that a glance at a small display is sufficient to capture and understand the relevant information. That's why our software developers, with the input from numerous customer surveys, have worked out the optimum presentation formats for the respective content on mobile devices: Color-separated charts such as bar graphs and pie charts with progress displays do not only look good in the new SuPCIS-L8 release on the control center screen - they adapt to the view on the respective device and are visually appealing. With the new client, the new release has also improved the ergonomics of daily mobile device usage in the warehouse. Features that we already know from our smartphones are now also possible in intralogistics: With the new release, SuPCIS-L8 not only adapts to different devices, but can be displayed in portrait or landscape format - depending on how the employee works the device stops.

Easier use of integrated cameras

Most mobile devices used in intralogistics centers today are equipped with a camera. S & P has developed several features that make integrating and using photos even easier. Thus, a photo of a product can be made at the touch of a button, connected to the master data by scanning the article number and stored on the WMS server. Especially in the area of goods receipt or returns processing a photographic documentation is sometimes indispensable. With the new release, captured photos can be labeled or tagged directly in the warehouse management application. For example, damage to the product can be highlighted or comments inserted directly.
