KNAPP automates production supply for Swedish automotive supplier Meritor

Meritor, a global leader in drive and mobility solutions for the automotive industry, has commissioned KNAPP to automate its production supply at the Lindesberg site in Sweden. The solution, consisting of a high-bay pallet warehouse with stacker crane, provides Meritor with more flexibility to supply their workstations.

KNAPP supplies the hardware and software for the automation solution at Meritor. Gian Luca Albert, General Manager Operations Europe, explains: »After a long evaluation phase, we chose KNAPP from among many suppliers because the company offers the best technical solution for our requirements, which on top of that can be integrated into our existing building and meets our budget expectations. The solution is extremely flexible in terms of future demand and also quantity-mix fluctuations.«
The KNAPP branch in Sweden has already supported Meritor with services in previous projects. With the new order, the two companies are deepening their cooperation. The automation solution in Lindesberg is scheduled to go into operation in August 2022.
